The final seasons of Lucifersaw the eponymous ruler of Hell strive to become a meaningful king of Heaven, having undergone plenty of character growth since the 2016 pilot, but still was frequently up to his old tricks and lingering evil outbursts amid his attempts to be good. With his turn as Godcat in Exploding Kittens, Ellis not only continues his trend of portraying celestial beings, but offers a flip on his iconic role. The Welsh actor even reprised the role in The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" Arrowverse crossover event, despite it not only being a completely different universe from Lucifer, but also technically different networks, save for Warner Bros. Initially only running for three seasons on Fox, both the show and Ellis' popularity in the role led to Netflix saving the show from cancelation and enjoying further success for three more seasons. Though having already worked consistently in the industry for 15 years prior, Ellis became a household name thanks to his turn as Lucifer Morningstar in the eponymous DC Vertigo show adaptation.
